What is MetCon Mayhem?

CrossFit Country Metcon Mayhem. Whereas most gyms will only offer you one class option, CrossFit Country offers you TWO coach led and programmed classes each day. MetCon Mayhem classes are available at 6 and 9 AM and 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, & 7 PM, Monday – Friday.

MetCon Mayhem workouts push you cardiovascularly, getting your heart rate high and to keeping it there! These workouts are designed to be light weight or body weight, longer time frame, and high intensity. We combine cardio, in the form of running, rowing, biking, jumping rope, etc. with lower and upper body movements and core to give you a full body workout.

This program is great for those athletes who are looking to burn fat, improve their overall fitness, and who want to work harder longer. It is also ideal for those who are new to CrossFit and not ready for the  heavy weight lifting and higher skill components required on the Main Floor.

Here is what our athletes think of the MetCon Mayhem program:

“This class makes me get up at 5am. It’s fun and crazy hard all at the same time.  Katie’s WODs are perfectly programmed for everyone from a beginner to as seasoned CrossFitter. MetCon is a class anyone can feel comfortable attending.   I always leave a happier, more energetic person and glad I didn’t turn that alarm off and roll over! Burning multiple hundreds of calories is just an added benefit.  If you’re looking to be inspired by a fantastic coach, motivated to get strong, healthy, or lose weight, or you need a great group of friends to pull you along and keep you hustling…This is your class!”

“As much as I love CrossFit, I was never much of a fan of the technical/Oly heavy lifting component, as I found it boring. I was thrilled when Wayne announced that CrossFit Country would be offering MetCon Mayhem classes and it was love at first WOD. The faster pace of the WODs helps me stay focused and engaged. My husband and I actually had to switch our plan because I was going so much more. Katie is a great coach and it is obvious that she also has a passion for MetCon type WODs – it comes out in her coaching and in her programming. For me, MetCon Mayhem is the new CrossFit kool-aid…”
